Since last year I didn't go to any income tax preparer anymore because I just learned how to make my income tax by using Turbo Tax. And even I know already how to file it, I could not stop worrying that perhaps I did something wrong with it. But I know before I filed my income tax I did it right.
Well, this year too I will do my own income tax again. I think this year is not that hard it is just a simple preparation for me compared last year. Hopefully, I will get some refund this year.

Filipina Vanishes Near Neskowin Beach
Watching this news made me feel so sad. What a tremendous tragedy for my co-filipina! I felt so sorry for the loss of the family of Ms. Leafil Alforque. I pray for strength especially for her mother. This must be so traumatizing for her and for everybody who loves Leafil.
While reading the comments in this news a lot of nasty people thinks that US filipinas marrys foreigner for us to be saved from poverty. If that's what some thinks, can't do anything about it now, beacuse filipinas reputation has been damaged by some filipinas who really did that thing. But NOT ALL are like them. It really hurts me everytime I hear and read some comments about us Filipinas--negative comments. We are not what you think. I am hoping that foreigners will not think always that ALL of us fiilipinas are the same. Also, about the age gap...have u heard the saying age doesn't matter when it comes to love? I believe that... It doens't really matter, if they are in love with each other then why not get married and live happily.
Anyway, my heartfelt condolence to her family and love ones.

National Flag And National Anthem Of The Philippines
The national flag of the Philippines has a white triangle on the left. On either side tapering off to the left are two stripes, the top one blue, the bottom one red. The white triangle contains three five-point stars and sun with eight rays. The sun symbolises freedom and its eight rays represent the first eight provinces that revolted against Spanish colonial rule. The stars symbolise the three geographical divisions of the Philippines: Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. The blue stripe stands for the equality and unity of the people. The red stripe (place on top in wartime) symbolises the readiness of the Filipinos to fight to the death of their country. On 12 June 1898, from the balcony of General Emilio Aguinaldo house in Cavite, he declared the independence of the Philippines. On this day the Philippine national flag was raised and the Philippine national anthem played for the first time. In the form of a march, the Marcha Nacional Filipina anthem was composed by Julian Felipe and the words were written by Jose Palma.Thursday, January 8, 2009
Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera is one of the most popular beach resorts in the Philippines. A marine reserve, it is endowed with coves, fine sandy beaches and shallow coral reefs ideal for snorkeling.
The place can be reached from the port of Batangas City where a ferry service to Mindoro awaits the tourists. Bancas may be hired to go to Escarceo Point, the best dive spot in Puerto Galera. The area offers positive thrills and guaranteed excitement, with its sudden rushes of strong currents and steep slopes which are a favorite gathering place for large pelagic fish.Diving expeditions are usually organized by certified masters on specific dive spots.

Puerto Princesa
At 210,670 hectares, Puerto Princesa is the second largest city in the Philippines after Davao, in terms of area. Even rural Sabang and the St. Paul Subterraneal National Park, 50 km north of the city centre, belong administratively to the city. It is a relativlely new city with about 70,000 inhabitans in the urban area itself and total population of around 150, 000. Although new constructions are going up all the time, you can still find beautiful buildings there in the traditional style, the main ones being the cathedral and the Provincial Capitol. At the waterfront there are fishermen's hunts built right up to and into the water. The city is remarkable for its cleanliness, something the Mayor Edwin Hagedorn is deservedly praised for. He managed to enthuse the locals with the idea of keeping their city clean. Refuse disposal and street cleaning both function immaculately, and many tricycles even have an ashray with them (throwing away cigarette butts on the street incurs a fine of P200). The latest distinctions garnered by Puerto Princesa are the 1993 Eath Day Award and the 1994 Macliing Dulag Environment Award.
The scene on the wharf at sunset is very fun. Puerto Princesa Bay also has some interesting places for diving. For about P600 you can hire an outrigger for a few hours and sail, swim, dive and fish in the bay. Nasin-Aw white beach is on the southern edge of town; admission P5. Watch out for sea urchins when you're swimming. It's best to wear shoes for protection. You can get to the Nasin-Aw White Beach by tricycle.Subic Bay

Subic, the former US naval base in the Philippines, is now a hub for commerce and tourism. Just two-and-a-half hour drive north from Manila, Subic offers a full view of the blue mountain and sea and of the green background of a three-layered virgin forest.
Points of interest include the 18-hole Binictican Golf Course and Clubhouse, a white-sand beach, bowling and arcade center,a ship wharf past a restricted forested area, firing ranges, fishing grounds and an area for bungee jumping.
Visitors to Subic can take a 12-hour jungle survival course, visit an Aeta tribal village, take a bay cruise, explore the coves, end up at the white-sand beach of Grande Island, engage in water sports, go horseback riding or simply enjoy the scenic view of the sea.
Subic Bay is complete with tourism-support facilities that include a marina, a yacht club, hotels, shopping arcades and food shops. It also boasts of an international airport.
